We pride ourselves on proper skate sharpening and blade mounting. In addition
to a proper boot selection AND PROPER FIT, an improper skate sharpening and or blade mounting can also seriously
alter a skater's ability on the ice and may be very difficult (to impossible) to fix.
Proper blade care by professionals in this field is a must for the very beginning skater to the Olympic figure skater.
We are a figure skater's full-service organization, that paces the customer first! Our regular customers delight
in receiving their many un-advertized "rewards" and care.
Skate sharpening prices:
Blades on the beginner sets: $5.00/pair
Intermediate Blades includeing moderate refurbishing of leather soles.
Majestic, Club 2000, Jubilee: $15.00/pair.
Advanced Blades: Parallel, tapered and parabolic. Includes moderate referbishing of leather soles; screw check, etc. Allow 3 -4 days. $20.00/pair.
Blade Mounting Prices:
To mount blades onto new boots: $10.00 (allow 1-2 days)
Sole Finishing and Mounting:
Snow Seal on already finished soles: $10.00/pair (allow 3 days)
Snow Seal + Specialized Sharp Edge Sealant on unfinished soles: $30.00 (allow 7 days)* this is our recommended long term sealant.
Specialized Enamel treatment: $30.00 (allow 7 days)
Other Services:
Fitting problems are the most common. We solve fitting problems as well as, "referbishing" boot stretching, molding etc. Or regular customers receive periodic referbishing with their sharpenings at no additional cost. The Sharp Edge works directly with the boot manufacturers for tongue and sole replacements.
